If you are to have true faith, how will it come? It will come from hearing the Word of God from the Lord Himself.1 What does this mean?
The Bible is nothing like what you think or have been told. Though penned by men, Genesis through Revelation was authored by God. These 66 books contain His deep mysteries, which He is intentionally hiding from man until He reveals – His Book is sealed.2 Therefore, your condition with God is directly related to whether or not He is teaching and opening His Word to you – the “mysteries of the kingdom of God.”3
The Lord Himself must teach you the Scriptures His way. He is the only one worthy to unseal the Book.4 If you do not go to Him to learn His hidden Word from Him as only He can teach, you do not know Him, He does not know you5, and you are not His disciple.6 But if you will treat Him as who He is – the Word of God – and go into His Book with the attitude that He authored it and is able to teach it, you will be amazed what He and His witnesses of 2,000 to 5,000 years can teach you.
People are in spiritual captivity. Therefore, just as God did before, through Jesus, today God is calling people out of churches, synagogues, and religions – so that He can teach them Himself7 and free them from the slavery of men’s ways and teachings.
Consider how the Lord God did things when He came in flesh (Jesus of Nazareth). He didn’t tell people to go to synagogues and learn from their leaders. Instead, He told people “come to Me” and “learn from Me”8, and He taught them in houses, in the countryside, on mountains, and by rivers and lakes. It’s the same story today. The Lord wants to teach His Book to people wherever they are, but He does not want them in today’s synagogues (churches, synagogues, temples, mosques) or listening to organizational leaders.
The Lord God thinks that He should be the One Teacher9 of the Scriptures10 – the Book He gave – because He is the Word of God; that is His Name.11
For Him to reveal, however, He requires that you go to Him like a child. God demanded that Israel’s sacrificial animals be unblemished one-year-olds. Likewise, you must present yourself to God as a child, a one-year-old, with the attitude that you know nothing about God. This means you must come to Him with nothing of man. Leave behind all church, seminary, and religious teachings, thinking, and ways. Then He may choose to reveal. He alone knows your condition – He knows whether or not you’ve truly stopped clinging to men’s ways and teachings.
Organized churches and religions – your church, your religion – will not tell you these things. Why not? Because they are the “many” that Scripture speaks of, who are deceived and do not understand the Word of God.12 They want you to go to them, see them, lift them up, and give them money. In return, they will make you feel good about yourself, just as the devil did with Eve.13 But God wants you to “come out from their midst and be separate.”14 Click here to see what the Lord forewarned about churches.
For a chance at eternal life, you must go to Him outside the camp.15 Separate yourself, free yourself from all organized churches and religions and go to God alone, correctly (like a child knowing nothing and unblemished by men’s teachings), for at least one year. Then you may discover the truth about God and His Word, realize the deadly error of your current situation, and repent of the way you've treated Him.
However, a word of warning... From the beginning16 there has been a spiritual battle over the Word of God. Therefore, if you begin a totally new investigation of God and His Book with the childlike attitude that He alone should be your One Teacher, you will definitely encounter a spiritual battle from all sides – especially from your family, friends, and church/religion. You will also encounter interference when reading the Scriptures. Jesus was ridiculed by family and had few worldly friends, if any. The church and temple leaders were always against Him – the Word of God. And remember, the devil was not afraid to use Scripture when tempting Him17, and he won’t be with you either. So the battle over the Word of God is real, and its final outcome is real. You have been warned.
